Man oh man!! What a CRAZY WILD RIDE!! Me saying this definitely feels like deja vu but that's how it rolls at The Asylum. This is a second book for Curtis and Reed. However in my opinion, this is not a "one couple" book. Yes if you've read any of this series you'll know that previous characters relationships continue to grow in the following books (which is awesome). However in this book you'll see ALL of the core members and couples go through a gamut of emotional turmoil (that I can't even begin to describe). I can only say that we as the readers went through it all with them. From our hearts being ripped out then slowly put back together (as we're pulling out our hair with our heads spinning around like The Exorcist wondering what just happened...lol) to then come full circle with a glorious happy ending. I was really proud of all our guys at The Asylum. They all came through for each other and worked together to help each other through all the difficult emotions each was going through. I'm really trying not to give any spoilers away because for this one you just need to go in blind and let the story take you through all the feels. Highly recommend...start from the beginning...read them ALL... you won't be disappointed!! I can't wait to see what happens next...for sure it's never a dull moment!!! I have to say I really dislike books done in a series. I read too much to recall the storyline and characters from previous books read. While just having finished book 7 a month ago I had to go back to read each book’s synopsis to recall the characters and some of their backgrounds. If you haven’t read the previous books in this series you would have no clue as to the story. In other series read the author often refreshes our memory as to background. The other piece I’ve found in this series are facts are revealed about characters that we are presumed to know. For instance Lawson has been working for Rhodey. That came out of nowhere. In prior books we were lead to believe he did accounting type work. Then Noah says he saw the scar. What does that mean? Has he been doing true mercenary work? I find too many of these instances throughout the series.
